Hello...
Welcome to my website! My name is Dr. Simon Rego. I am a
Licensed
Clinical Psychologist, Board Certified in Cognitive Behavioral
Psychology by the
American Board of Professional Psychology and a Fellow of the
Academy of Cognitive Therapy. My expertise is in the assessment and treatment of anxiety
(e.g., Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Panic Disorder,
Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, etc.), mood (e.g., Depression), sleep
(e.g., Insomnia), and body focused
repetitive disorders (e.g., trichotillomania).
Goals:
I plan to make this website a place where people can
come to learn more about the field of clinical psychology and some of
the better psychological resources that are available for treating
psychiatric disorders. In particular, I will focus on:
-
Describing clinical psychology and the different
types of therapists
-
Describing evidence-based psychological treatments
(treatments that have been tested by researchers)
-
Summarizing the latest research findings on
different psychological disorders
-
Offering book recommendations - for both clinicians
and patients
-
Providing links to other useful sites
