I have decided to divide my links area into two sections. The section below contains links to psychology websites that I find useful for keeping up with the field. To the left of it, you will find an eclectic list of websites that I think are interesting or useful - sites that I consider the "Best of the Web". I will continue to add to the lists of links, so please check back from time to time!

Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT)

  • The Academy of Cognitive Therapy, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1998 by a group of leading clinicians, educators, and researchers in the field of cognitive therapy. As part of its mission, the Academy supports continuing education and research in cognitive therapy, provides a valuable resource in cognitive therapy for professionals and the public at large, and actively works towards the identification and certification of clinicians skilled in cognitive therapy. Certification is awarded to those individuals who, based upon an objective evaluation, have demonstrated an advanced level of expertise in cognitive therapy. The Academy includes physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals from around the world. To date, there are over 600 Members of the Academy.

American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)

  • The American Board of Professional Psychology serves the public need by providing oversight certifying psychologists competent to deliver high quality services in various specialty areas of psychology. Board certification (awarding of a Diploma in a specialty) assures the public that specialists designated by the ABPP have successfully completed the educational, training, and experience requirements of the specialty, including an examination designed to assess the competencies required to provide quality services in that specialty.

American Psychiatric Association (ApA)

  • The American Psychiatric Association is a medical specialty society recognized world-wide. Its 37,000 U.S. and international member physicians work together to ensure humane care and effective treatment for all persons with mental disorder, including mental retardation and substance-related disorders. It is the voice and conscience of modern psychiatry. Its vision is a society that has available, accessible quality psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.

American Psychological Association (APA)

  • Based in Washington, DC, the APA is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychology in the United States. With more than 150,000 members, APA is the largest association of psychologists worldwide.

American Psychological Society

  • The Society's mission is to promote, protect, and advance the interests of scientifically oriented psychology in research, application, teaching, and the improvement of human welfare.

Anxiety Disorders Association of America

  • The ADAA is the only national, non-profit membership organization dedicated to informing the public, healthcare professionals and legislators that anxiety disorders are real, serious and treatable.

Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT)

  • The ABCT is a professional, interdisciplinary organization that is concerned with the application of behavioral and cognitive sciences to understanding human behavior, developing interventions to enhance the human condition, and promoting the appropriate utilization of these interventions.

Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies - Anxiety Disorders Special Interest Group

  • The Anxiety Disorders Special Interest Group provides resources for researchers and students interested in the anxiety disorders. It also links people seeking to participate in research projects with ongoing clinical trials and provides information about the nature and treatment of anxiety disorders.

San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy

Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology

  • The Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology was established as a section of Division 12 (Section III) of the American Psychological Association in 1966. Its members represent a diversity of interests and theoretical orientations.
